Data Analyst - £30K-£40K - Cumbria - Hybrid
My client is looking for a Data Analyst to work with the large and complex datasets associated with their financial comparison products. The role has a broad remit encompassing analysis, interpretation, and prediction. The Data Analyst will also bring statistical rigor to their product teams' efforts as they continuously enhance comparison products.
Role
- Dive into complex datasets and extract actionable insights, e.g.
- Identify customer segments across our comparison services where no or very few quotes are provided.
- Analyse the conversion funnel data to improve the click to sale conversion to make recommendations on segments that are being poorly served, and
- Utilize multiway statistical techniques to identify trends and correlations.
- Facilitate discussions with the wider business to gain insight into pain points, problems and opportunities where analysis could help us with these either for business or for our partners/customers.
- Support AB/MVT test plans and assessing results independently.
- Assist with new provider due diligence and performance issue investigations.
- Use of analytics tools/applications to undertake multi factor analysis to generate robust, accurate analysis to inform decision making.
- Pro-actively work with stakeholders and colleagues to find ways for continuous evolution and improvement of the use of data/insight, to ensure solutions are best in class, and that value is continually generated from the data asset.
- Create clear and concise reports and visualizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, handling large datasets and performing statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with Python, R or similar for data analysis.
- Experience in filtering and cleaning complex datasets to provide actionable insights.
- Experience working within the Financial Technology industry will be helpful.
